3.2.5 Pilot new model with Government Networks -Project Details:
Description:
Connect and share with Government networks to pilot new models for community learning and development
The current model government uses to encourage community learning and development has many different agencies involved which makes it difficult for a community to get integrated support for its initiatives. National policies and procedures for cross agency integration and cooperation are not necessariily best for individual situations. Each agency has its own criteria to meet, operating procedures, timescale and output reporting protocols to follow that can divert us from our main longer term task.
For this program we want to pilot a more agile community driven approach. We invite partner agencies to take time to look over our community vision / plan and project list so they can clearly understand where our program is heading and can thus better advise how their services could support it.
Our Government and other Partners:

Outcomes expected:
- Our community wisdom values, culture and mana passed forward to new generations
- Our community will be self dependant and flourishing as a result of new knowledge economy enterprises
- More effective utilisation of government resources
- Traditional Maori leadership and organisational protocols will have restored their credibility.
- Other communities intiatives will be able to grow in similar ways with more agile support.
- Government funding will move to encourage community driven outcomes not just funding project outputs.
