Publish French Book - Project Details:

Description:

Andree Mathieu a Physicist, Sustainabilty Consultant, Ex memer of the Quebec PM's Office and now a writer from Quebec Canada is in NZ from Feb- April 2004 to research Tipu Ake and Kaitiakitanga principles. She will be spending some time in Te Whaiti working at the Kura sharing her knowledge with our children, talking with people in the community, recording her experiences, reflections and learning both as a journal on the L' Agora Encyclopaedia website and will also write a book on her learning journey in New Zealand.

Outcomes expected:

  • Research on the connection between early Maori mythology and methods and today's science.
  • More international sharing of the wisdom of this place
  • Our children will benefit from having a scientist / international tutor at the school.
  • Tertiary student teams on the project will have the benefit of an experienced public relations mentor

Start Date: Started June 2003 when she attended a workshop on Tipu Ake at the Shambhala Institute of Authentic Leadership in Halifax Canada.
Expected Completion:
Late 2004

Budget: No project expenditure required for this volunteer project except for some local expenses covered by koha.
