Contributors:

It is impractical to list all the volunteers who either individually or through their organisations are selflessly contributing to this programme. They all know who they are and get their own satisfaction from this. Without their passion, courage, help and energy, this whole programme and the outcomes that we expect will follow it would not have even germinated. See also How we work

We would recognise a few key groups helping make this happen:

  • The Peter Blake Trust Youth Environment Forum members
  • The Enviroschools and NZ Environmental Education network schools
  • Student sustainability and related groups at universities, helping with organisation, promoting the event and participating on panels:
  • The many school and community groups that will contribute on panels
  • Youth enterprise development programmes in many locations
  • Many government, regional and local authority coordinators

Some of the organisations generously contributing in kind:

Organisations that are supporting this financially, within their means.

Notes:

1. Gold ($5000 and above) and Silver level ($2000 and above) contributions are used to specifically to get Hunter Lovins here. These organisations will be invoiced (GST exclusive) by Natural Capital Solutions (USA) the non-profit organisation, committed to sustainability that she operates through. (This can be invoiced in this financial year or next - after July 2006)

With this visit we are pioneering a bottom up "grass roots" approach to growing sustainability awareness that has not to our knowledge been attempted in any other country. As a result, we can expect Hunter to share our learning journey internationally as a case study. We are also exploring with them some creative (win-win) ways of reinvesting what they receive to ensure that it returns positive outcomes for the youth of NZ and a sustainable world.

2. Bronze contributions (up to $1000) are used to cover specific event costs, local travel and accommodation or are made directly to to the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) who are providing the administration services in each area for this event and others that may follow it.

SBN is a non profit network that helps all organisations (and indirectly individuals) grow more profitably, using sustainable practices and cultures. They put a strong emphasis on Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Their focus is region dependent and includes farmers, service industries, commerce, manufacturers, government agencies, local bodies, and education as appropriate to each area. SBN invites all to become members

My name is Hatata and we need you to help us with NZ's biggest roundup.

Herd your parents, family, grandparents, teachers, friends, businessmen, farmers, developers, doctors, builders, engineers, lawyers, architects, researchers, judges, professors, bankers, mayors, councilors, politicians and all. We need them all working alongside us to help grow the kind of world that we would like to leave for all our future grandchildrens.

Our partner Hunter told us stories from around the planet to get us thinking about what we are doing to it. We can all share ideas to help us do things right now to make a difference.

Visit www.kaitiakitanga.net website to see how this relates to our traditional Maori values

Click on the menus in the left panel to get information, about this event and the middle panel to find the video and other resources we now share with the rest of the world.
